Substantial profits are earned by merchant services

Substantial profits are earned by merchant services, banks, and credit card companies, not only from the fees that are paid by the clients, such as over limit fess, annual membership fees, and late payment fees, but also from the high priced interest that they charge on the money that they lend to the clients; they also make sure that the credit card holders incur huge debts in order to profit from finance charges. About 75 percent of the people in the United States that have credit cards have outstanding balances in their accounts and they pay exorbitant interest for these each month. There are a lot of dark sides that these small plastics bring; for example, a lot of people have received calls from an obscure company saying that they have won a prize and they need to answer some basic questions before they can get their gift; they would ask questions including the credit card number of the victim, but the truth is that they did not win any prize, instead, the swindler just want to get the credit card information of the victim so that he can make purchases through telephone or internet. Even if you have not fallen into these scams, you are probably paying through higher interest rates and fees; the real danger, however, is when you are suffering because you have fallen into debt deeply. As what Credit Jungle reports, many people are tempted to buy goods and services that are extremely expensive because they have credit cards.
