The Shard’s Son

My fancy on different operating systems has made me do some experiments on some of their flavors that I really like such as Windows, Mac, which has different versions or releases and Linux, which is also consists of different variants such as the Fedora, Debian and the famous one, Ubuntu.   And in addition to these that I have mentioned and aside from my favorite article spinning software, there is also another type of operating system that is not that common and usually found only in mainframes, dedicated servers with IP translation functions, and computers that require heavy computing and data analysis, and this type is called the Unix; and this Unix operating system is really one of the first operating systems in history and it was even used with military operations during the world wars and the computers that these were installed in were quite large to be frank, as large as a room even. Some people really admired the capabilities of this operating system, Unix, but then it only runs on big computers at that time and are very dissatisfied with their current desktop operating systems so they got some libraries and wrote their own code and created their own operating system mimicking the capabilites of Unix but runs on their desktops, thus the birth of Linux made by the brilliant Linus Torvalds. The operating system made by Linus Torvalds is an open source operating system that is disseminated by different distributors and thus, the existence of the different flavors; this system is also made for development and research for those who admire the different operating systems because you could manipulate it, like the kernel, with just some tweaks on some lines and scripts on the terminal based on your fancy. Even the Mac, the operating system made by Apple, has developed a quite more or less similar version of a Unix based operating system, in which one could run a number of things in the mac terminal server but however though, one cannot manipulate or change the kernel of the system mainly due to it being not open source. I think I am at a position to be able to advice you in which operating system you should choose mainly because I have had experience with all of them; and I could tell you that if you are the simple user, you should use the Windows; if you are the type who likes it stable and with good aesthetics, you should stick to the Mac; and if you are the one who has deep knowledge, that of the geek level, there is definitely no doubt whatsoever that the Linux is for you.
