Flowers of Kiss

I have changed five masks, one BCD, two regulator, one fins and several wet suits in my ten years of diving.   I did not have my own gear when I first started diving, I was only renting from dive shops and sometimes from my instructor which was fine, until an accident happened. The high pressure hose of my first stage broke and I was loosing air really fast, and at that trip I was the most experienced diver, while we were out in another island for a dive safari. I could feel that my air was getting thinner and breathing has become very hard, I signaled to my buddy that I was out of hair, but my buddy was very new to diving did not understand immediately, that is why I grabbed his octopus and breathe from there. He saw what happened, the divemaster assisted us in our decompression stop and all the way to the surface and back to our boat. That was the moment where I was truly grateful for the trainings I underwent and that I did not panic and still remembered what to do,though it was one of the scariest moment in my life. The incident made me realize to buy my own gear, and so I did, and to make sure that everything is in good working condition before getting into the water. I am now a great advocate of getting the proper training first before going out on deep dives, or dive safari, and I always advice new divers to always pay attention when on training and always ask questions if you are not sure what your instructor is talking about, and to always have presence of mind when diving. Diving is not a sport, so there is no contest at all.
